Fun and Safe Ideas to Welcome in Autumn

autumn-leafSeptember brings the last day of summer and the first day of fall on September 22, 2010 at 11:09 pm EDT.  An old wives' tale says that on the equinoxes, when the Earth is "balanced" and all things are equal, it is possible to balance an egg on one end.  The truth is that it is possible to balance an egg on its end any day of the year, provided you have a steady hand.

After the record-breaking heat of the summer, we're all looking forward to some cooler weather and enjoying the beautiful fall colors as the season changes.  Everything feels good in the cooling fall air, so why not plan some things to enjoy this fall with your family such as a fall festival in your area, a Fall/Autumn leaf project, making caramel apples, visiting an area farm to see the pumpkin patches and corn mazes or just planning a family outing to the park for some football and Frisbees.

Now that the kids are back in school, we thought we would pass along a few websites that you might want to check out for tips and advice on how to make this school year a successful one for parents and kids:  http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/schoolage/back_to_school.html, www.parentsconnect.com, and www.kidshealth.org.

Also, a good reminder is don't forget to put fresh batteries in your smoke detectors on the first day of fall!  Fall is also a great time to check on the performance of your network and computer equipment to make sure everything is in good working order for the last quarter of the year and if you need any help doing this, be sure to give ProductiveTech a call.  We'd be happy to help!
